To ensure quality, I had these boxes shipped with no SSD or RAM, so I procured and installed new quality components from reputable manufacturers. This includes quality power supplies as well.
This is perfect for use as a PFSense or OpnSense. If you would like OpnSense please let me know when ordering.
The new models of Celeron chips N5100 and later run warm. These are best used in a climate-controlled building. I also have affordable USB cooling fans available. If they are out of stock, I can make a recommendation for one upon request.
This model has a very new 2.5Gb ethernet port, which is not supported by pfSense 2.6 CE. It is supported by 2.6 Plus and 2.7 CE
Any TimeTec RAM or SSD’s will be covered by Timetec’s MFR Warranty.
These will come with ports set to
Port0 = WAN
Port1 = LAN
This model DOES NOT come with built-in Wi-Fi. You can add Wi-Fi if you would like but will need to add all hardware. Most people will use a standalone AP with this device. I can give recommendations upon request.
