To ensure quality, I had these boxes shipped with no SSD or RAM, so I procured and installed new quality components from reputable manufacturers. This includes quality power supplies as well.
This is perfect for use as a PFSense or OpnSense. If you would like OpnSense please let me know when ordering.
It is recommended to use a small USB-powered fan to keep airflow over the cooling fins for optimal performance and longevity. You can find a high-quality adjustable airflow USB-Powered Ball bearing fan on my store.
The new models of Celeron chips N5100 and later run warm. These are best used indoors. I also have affordable USB cooling fans available. If they are out of stock, I can make a recommendation for one upon request.
These will come with ports set to
Port0 = WAN
Port1 = LAN
This model DOES NOT come with built-in Wi-Fi. You can add Wi-Fi if you would like but will need to add all hardware. Most people will use a standalone AP with this device. I can give recommendations upon request.
